Enso Ventures is a private investment and project management company that specializes in making selective equity investments in high-technology and bio-tech companies. The company has offices in New York and London from which it manages its investments in Europe, USA and Russia. ENSO Ventures first invested in Cambridge Nanotherm in November 2011, and has remained a committed investor through the company’s rapid growth.

Howard Ford, Chairman
Howard has worked for a wide variety of high-profile technology companies in his career. Significant roles include Chief Executive of BT Cellnet and General Manager of IBM’s European PC business; Howard was also Managing Director of Equant Network Services before it was acquired by France Telecom in 2005. In addition to Cambridge Nanotherm, Howard currently holds the position of Chairman with Display Data, Pyreos, Light Blue Optics and Filtronic plc.
Jed Dorsheimer, Non-Executive Director
Jed’s role as Managing Director of Equity Research, Display and Lighting, at US-based investment banking and institutional research firm Canaccord Genuity makes him the ideal candidate to help develop the company’s strategic direction. A respected expert on solid-state lighting, Dorsheimer was ranked as the fifth most influential person in the lighting industry by Lux Magazine. He brings a unique perspective of both the current state, and the future direction, of the solid-state lighting industry.
Nikolay Danilov, ENSO Ventures
Nikolay leads the ENSO Ventures team from the London office. He studied at Cass Business School (Banking and International Finance) City University London and at St Petersburg State University of Economics & Finance in Russia.
Kirill Mudryy, ENSO Ventures
Kirill manages ENSO’s investments (including in Cambridge Nanotherm). He is a qualified solicitor, originally practising with McGrigors (now part of Pinsent Mason). Kirill studied at University of Surrey (LLB (Hons) Law) and LPC from the College of Law in Guildford and is a member of both of Solicitors Regulation Authority and Law Society of England and Wales.
Erwin Wolf, CEO
Erwin has a strong LED technology background coupled with considerable experience in leading business ventures and advanced technology teams in the semiconductor field. He has previously held roles at Osram and AZZURRO.
Pavel Shashkov, CTO & Founder
The joint inventor of the nanoceramic process, Pavel is an experienced CTO, a prize-winning scientist and accomplished entrepreneur, with vast experience in nano-materials, thermal management and IP.
Sergey Usov, COO & Founder
Sergey is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for design and manufacturing equipment of novel technologies and materials, thermal management and nano-ceramic coatings, and is co-inventor of our nano-ceramic process.
Gennady B. Khomutov, Prof., Ph.D., Doct.Sc.
Dr. G. Khomutov is Professor of the Faculty of Physics at Moscow State University and is one of the world’s leading scientists in nanomaterials and nanotechnologies. He is the author of 20 patents, is a regular invited presenter at major scientific conferences and has written 5 books and over 400 scientific papers. He is a co-inventor of Cambridge Nanotherm’s ECO process and co-author of the patent applications.
Dr Aleksey Yerokhin
Dr Yerokhin is a Senior Research Fellow and Manager of the Plasma Electrolysis Research Laboratory in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Sheffield University. He is the author of 5 patents, a regular invited presenter at major scientific conferences and has written over 200 publications. He maintains strong links to industry and is a member of the advisory board for Cambridge Nanotherm.
